Goodbye 2010. Hello 2011.

Happy New Year everyone! 🙂

I’m on to a fresh start with my first official post and a new blog theme to go with it. I took some time to tweak the header too… (Oh, how I just love brown paper and tape. :))

Anyway, it’s finally 2011… and even though the countdown to 1-1-11 ended hours ago… my countdown to a new beginning has just begun.  And I’m really praying that this chapter of my life will be filled with much adventure (which I will pretty much share in a few months).

But first here’s my checklist for the year:

1) Follow through — especially with work, even if it drives me crazy most of the time… I should really think of it as if it were my last day at the office everyday.

2) Tone — Yes, I gained weight in 2010 and now it actually shows in the wrong places! I don’t have to lose weight just tone the areas necessary. (Thinking of taking dance or yoga classes… if my budget allows it. :p)

3) Get me some Zzzzz — I need this to help lessen my unnecessary snacking and keep my skin from breaking out.

4) Hydrate and moisturize — I’m one of those unfortunate beings born with very sensitive skin that sudden a change in weather can cause my skin to dry and trigger my allergies. It’s takes weeks, sometimes even months for the scars to heal and only a few minutes to get them started… 😦 So now water and Cetaphil are my new buddies.

5) Write (Blog) more — I know I’ve said this a gazillion times before and I end up not doing it. So to help me update on a weekly basis… I’ve decided to challenge myself by joining The Daily Post at WordPress.com.  Will post my pledge in another entry.

6) Practice my Chinese — I have to get myself that Berlitz book and start speaking Cantonese again.

7) Spend more time — with Nico and CAJANTZ (Chai, Andrea, Jeni, Ali, Nikki, Tin, and Zaree) because I’m really going to miss them badly.

8 ) Make one person happy everyday (even if it’s just yourself) — We all deserve to end the day with a smile right? 🙂

9) Save! Save! Save! — I really need to manage my finances for the future… (plus the upcoming trips with Nic and my girls) I have to start saving before that BIG change happens. (What change you ask? Wait for my posts this Summer!)

10) Take that leap of Faith — I’d love to take a few minutes of my day to listen to Him up there.  He never fails to show me how much he loves me… and I’d like to live all my days to put a smile on His face.

So that sums up my 2011 list… and there’s so much to do already!

It’s time I made time for all the other things I love in life…
